Falling Back to Earch

I recently attended an exhibit by Cai Guo-Qiang called Falling Back to Earth. This exhibit consisted of 3 main installations: Eucalyptus, Head on and Heritage. Each installation provoked an emotion. I never really new the artist till I did a little research after the exhibit. I love his body of work, style of contemporary art and his willingness to continually push boundaries. Below are some photos of the installations.

I've made a pact with my boyfriend to be in a new country every year for New Years. So far we've been to India, New Zealand and now Thailand!

Below are a few snaps of our recent trip to Thailand :)

We ate at a lot of vegetarian restaurants

Ventured the streets of Bangkok

Watched several Muay Thai fights

Ate Japanese for Christmas

Visited old ruins of Ayuthaya

2014

Has it really been almost 2 years since I last posted something on here!? I'll attempt to make 2014 a blogging year and document my findings, designs, work and photography - that way I'll be motivated to write more and use this to keep track of my goals and my progression.

I'd like to say a lot has changed, well it has and hasn't in a way. I'm not a uni student doing free work anymore, I have a proper job job. I have "grown up" you might say (aged 2 years), made new friends, bought a house, all that stuff. Anyway let's see what 2014 brings!

I recently did freelance marketing work for Brisbane Fringe Fashion. Below are some images of the Flash Fashion Parade in Brisbane city that happened a few days ago :)

So I've been doing some marketing work for Brisbane Fringe Fashion, and to promote their events I wrote an article on sustainable fashion. Below are snippets of the articles. Enjoy!

Sylvia Pelissero

Just like Marion Bolognesi, I'm loving the work of Italian born, Sylvia Pelissero. So much talent for someone that's self taught.  I love the vidid colours and eyes in all paintings.

The past few weeks

I've been really busy doing some freelance design work. I've also gotten on board with Brisbane Fringe Fashion and promoting local designers and sustainable fashion. It's a whole new ball game for me but I love it. Here's a look at the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BrisbaneFringeFashion... like it! There are a few exciting events happening, a clothes swap, fashion show and a fashion event! I'm pretty excited for them.

I've recently invested in an iPhone, it's so much easier to take photos on the go now as I seem to be running around the city all the time. Please excuse the poor quality.
