Falling Back to Earch

I recently attended an exhibit by Cai Guo-Qiang called Falling Back to Earth. This exhibit consisted of 3 main installations: Eucalyptus, Head on and Heritage. Each installation provoked an emotion. I never really new the artist till I did a little research after the exhibit. I love his body of work, style of contemporary art and his willingness to continually push boundaries. Below are some photos of the installations.

Sylvia Pelissero

Just like Marion Bolognesi, I'm loving the work of Italian born, Sylvia Pelissero. So much talent for someone that's self taught.  I love the vidid colours and eyes in all paintings.

Lately

It's been exactly a month since I last posted I apologize for the late entry. I've been up to a lot... attended a wedding, a funeral, visited Melbourne (didn't really take too many photos), in the midst of job hunting and doing some freelance design work. Crazy huh.

Marion Bolognesi

I'm a big fan of her work. No one does watercolour quite like Marion.

Tardy

My apologies for the late entry! I've been pretty swamped with juggling college, trying to find work, and attempting to have a bit of a social life (which isn't working out). So far I'm working on 3 assignments all of them being illustrative. Which means have to put my year 8 art - drawing skills to the test. And in the next few days I will be getting 2 more assignments! I feel like I've just been thrown into the deep end. This has got to be the most work I've ever done! I will post finished products of my work in the coming weeks.

Oh and it's March! Which means winter is coming.. my favourite season :)

Sorry for the same laptop photo! Thats all I had time for

Ps. I'm loving this song right now

Summer is here!

Well technically it's still spring, however the rising temperatures have re-kindled my love for everything bohemian and summer. Messy braided hair, clashing prints, comfort clothing, beaded accessories. Even though trend may be a few seasons old, I still love it.

Looking at these braids makes me want to cry. I want my long hair back! And I have no money for extensions. I guess a girl can never be happy with what she's got eh?

Annnd... I'm really loving Prabal Gurung 2011/12 Spring collection!
